PROCEDURE
Microneedling begins with a thorough consultation with Amanda. During this consultation, Amanda will assess your skin concerns, discuss your treatment goals, and determine if microneedling is the right option for you. Based on this assessment, a personalised treatment plan will be created to address your specific needs and concerns.
On the day of your microneedling session, Amanda will first cleanse and numb your skin to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. The microneedling session will be conducted using either the Skinpen® or LUTRONIC GENIUS® RF Microneedling device. These devices can be used alongside specific therapies such as CALECIM®, exosomes, and injectable platelet-rich fibrin (IPRF) therapy to enhance the results of microneedling. Once your skin is prepped, Amanda will gently glide the microneedling device over the treatment area, ensuring even coverage and precise targeting of your skin concerns. Afterwards, she may apply a soothing serum or mask to help calm the skin and promote healing.

Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin Therapy (IPRF)
IPRF therapy involves the extraction and concentration of platelet-rich fibrin from your own blood. This concentrated solution is then injected into the skin during microneedling procedures to stimulate collagen production, accelerate tissue repair, and promote overall skin rejuvenation. IPRF contains growth factors that enhance the body’s natural healing process, resulting in smoother, firmer skin with improved texture and tone. Combined with microneedling, IPRF therapy reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin elasticity, and enhanced hydration for a more youthful appearance.
CALECIM®
CALECIM® is a breakthrough skincare technology that harnesses the power of stem cell proteins. When used in conjunction with microneedling, CALECIM® promotes skin regeneration and repair by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. This helps to improve skin texture, reducing the appearance of scars and fine lines, and restoring a more youthful complexion. Exosomes
Exosomes are vesicles that are secreted by cells, containing a potent blend of growth factors and proteins crucial for skin regeneration. When used alongside microneedling, exosomes deeply penetrate the skin, stimulating collagen production and facilitating tissue repair. This leads to smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin with improved texture and elasticity. Additionally, exosomes possess anti-inflammatory properties, soothing irritated skin and expediting the healing process.
Microneedling can help improve a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, and pigmentation issues. It can also enhance overall skin tone and firmness.
While some may experience mild discomfort during the procedure, numbing cream is typically applied beforehand to minimise any pain. The sensation is often described as a slight tingling or prickling feeling.
The number of microneedling sessions needed depends on your unique skin concerns and goals. Many see noticeable improvements after just one session, but a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart is often recommended for optimal results. Maintenance treatments may be needed to sustain the benefits over time.
Some redness and mild swelling may occur immediately after the procedure, but these side effects usually subside within a day or two. You can usually resume your normal activities the same day or the day after treatment.
